Black Forest Cocoa
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
4 cups skim milk
1 cup pitted fresh or frozen sweet cherries, thawed
2 Tbsp. kirsch or other cherry liqueur
Combine sugar and cocoa in saucepan and gradually add milk. Add cherries and kirsch, stir well. Cook over medium heat 5 minutes or until heated, stirring constantly. Transfer mixture to a blender and process one cup at a time until smooth. Serve immediately.
